Zach grew up in central Missouri. He attended Missouri State University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation and Management. After college, he moved to western North Carolina and began working in Wilderness Therapy. During this time, he was able take his love for the outdoors and teach the strength that nature can provide to teens struggling with the stressors of everyday life. At the time of his departure he was one of the longest tenured field staff, spending 4 1/2 years working as a Field Instructor, accruing over 900 days in the field. When it was time for Zach to hang up his hiking boots, he came on board with Calo as the Director of Operations of Calo Young Adults in Winchester, Virginia. After helping to lay the foundation for the young adult program, the opportunity to work closer to family presented itself with Calo-Lake Ozark. Zach has been a part of the Neurotherapy Department for over two years. He enjoys seeing the progress students are able to make during their time in the neurotherapy program and helping students understand themselves better. When he is not working, Zach enjoys spending time with his family, walking his dog, hiking or pretty much anything outside.
